Called Called comes from the Hebrew word qara, which means accosting
a person met, to call out to, address by name, cry unto, invite, mention, give (name), preach, (make) proclaim, pronounce,
cause to come.
When Jesus called you to serve Him, He literally called out to you, cried unto you, addressed you by name,
and mentioned the fact that He had a better plan for your life. When He called you He gave you an invitation, He pronounced
His desire for you, and caused you to respond. He wants you to preach His Word, to proclaim His blessings, and pronounce death
to your sin. In some cases He may even have literally accosted you from the life you were living. The great news is that now
you have been given His Name, the Name above all names, the Name at which every knee will bow and every tongue will confess
that He is Lord, the Name of Jesus!
Humble Humble comes from the Hebrew word kana, which means to bend
the knee, hence to humiliate, vanquish, bring down (low), into subjection, under, humble (self), subdue.
We must understand that it is not about us. It is all about Him. Society today teaches "that if it is to
be, it is up to me." Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO MAN comes to the Father except through Me." Bow
your knee, vanquish your pride and arrogance, bring yourself down low into subjection to the one who will elevate you to heights
unthinkable in your mind. Allow His power to work in your life and subdue those obstacles that oppose you. He has a plan for
your life and it has a purpose and a hope, it is for good and not for evil.
Pray Pray comes from the Hebrew word palai, which
means to intercede, intreat, make supplication, to ask earnestly, to worship, spiritual communion.
The only way to accomplish what God wants for you in your life is to spend time with him in prayer. As you
develop your relationship with Him you will want nothing more than to spend time in His presence interceding for others, intreating
and enjoying being in His presence, and worshipping Him in spirit and in truth. Jesus was our example and He said that He
did nothing but what His Father told Him to do. Jesus throughout His ministry went and prayed and then did what His Father
showed Him needed to be done. We need to be like this as well. Seek Him early, come into His presence, and enjoy spiritual
communion with the Master.
Seek Seek comes from the Hebrew word baqash, which means to search
out (by any method, specifically in worship or prayer), by implication to strive after, ask, beg, beseech, desire, enquire,
get, make inquisition, procure, (make) request, require, seek (for).
This is the key to obtaining the promises of God. You have to be tenacious, aggressive, and assertive. You
must seek His face in worship and in prayer. You must strive, enquire, and beseech Him for what you need. You must make your
inquisition, make your request, and then procure His promise. He says that we have not because we ask not, if we ask and believe,
without doubt, we will obtain, and all of the promises of God are yes and amen.
Turn Turn comes from the Hebrew word shuwb, which
means to turn back (hence, away), break, build, (cause to) answer, continually, convert, deliver, deny, drawback, recover,
repent, restore, retrieve.
God is calling us to a higher level and we must obey His call. Only when we come to the point of being sick
and tired of being sick and tired of being sick and tired can we truly begin to experience God's total and complete restoration
power in our lives.
We can't turn from our sin without Him. We must see our sin as He sees our sin. Utterly disgusting, devestating,
and completely unacceptable. At that point He will enable us to turn, to break away from, to answer His call to repentance.
From that point on it will be a continual process of conversion, of deliverance, of recovery, and of restoration.
We will then be able to retrieve ALL that has been lost from the enemy, we will be able to truly help build
the kingdom of God, and we will deny the enemy of his only true weapon which is fear. We will then have the confidence, the
boldness, and the evidence that He is real in our lives.
